I have those as well. So do a lot of people. In most cases, they don't make you talk like a pompous douche.

I use words extremely deliberately. I don’t believe there’s a lot of it. I believe it’s overwhelming. You’re welcome to disagree but I’m not using words out of their contextual meaning as your implying I am using them with purpose

I’m been extremely cordial to everyone in this thread, while im still likely the most often insulted person on this board although it’s largely relented from its former ways. Multiple times commenting how much I respect sicboy, how I don’t believe he’s a malicious actor nor that you are. Nor am I acting like a pompous douche, I’m simply delivering my “opinions” as you’d have it said on a forum where it’s entire purpose is to do so, and again using words extremely deliberately to communicate as accurate as possible my message and what I believe. But by all means be a little bitch about it.

You intentionally use vocabulary in an effort to establish intellectual authority. Then layer on hyperbole to insult anyone that disagrees. You also project on others in efforts to belittle or discredit them. It's ridiculous and near constant. You are not a victim. You are treated the way you are treated because of how you treat others.

From what I can tell you just typed something that’s full of purely assumptions on your part about me none of which are even true. I also never claimed to be a victim. There’s a reason I’m not treated badly here often anymore, and it’s. I more or less openly admitted I had been being an extremely hostile poster and was focusing too much on starting threads about things like final fantasy. I reckonized it and accept d it and changed my behavior and almost all the board has responded in line with much more respect and kindness towards me.

I will say it’s a first for someone to accuse me of a grand intellectual conspiracy using big words to belittle or discredit people instead of maybe it’s just Occam’s razor and how I talk. Nor have I belittled anyone in this entire thread. You might not like some of my opinions but that’s not belittling someone. Also isn’t attempting to discredit someone you’re ina debate with the entire point

. . .not to mention the most recent decision by the company regarding one of the greatest RPG IPs in video game history (Mass Effect).

Are we talking about Andromeda, or have I missed something?

I never said that I have confidence in them. Again, not preordering. I simply think there’s a reasonable, logical path to redemption here. If they ignore the obvious path and insist on sucking, they’ll fail.

I didn’t even ever played mass effect until the whole trilogy came packaged as one on ps5

Also BG3 is a great example of how I don’t just hate EVERYTHING simply for the sake of it being woke. That game is the wokest of woke but an amazing game. That’s just an exception to the rule of them usually being dog water

Also Larian isn’t a public company. The game was in early access for 3 years and they held routine fan councils for feed back. Maybe a good model for other studios but they all hate their audience

I am talking about Mass Effect, which feels odd to clarify since I included it explicitly in the parentheses, and how they sacrificed the newest iteration to work on a shiny new toy.

In my experience, these companies always double down all the way until the inevitable "{insert studio} has been shuttered, projects given to {other studio owned by parent}" article

If they listen to fan feedback and turn it around, they would be one of an infinitesimally small group. . .and I would GLADLY eat crow.

I will buy it, because I am invested in the world. . .but I have no illusions that it is going to be good. I just hope the next studio does it justice.

A game being woke doesn't make it a bad game.

It is just a single knock on the game, like framerate issues or loot boxes

BG3 is one of the best games in a loooong time. And the fanbase for the game is basically a cross section of everyone.

I mean the bear sex was fricked, though

I actually found it funny. Which is weird cuz I’d usually admittedly clutch my pearls about it

Only thing I found cringe in the game surprisingly is I think it was the mage guy who in the game is mentioned many times to be akin to Geralt in the sense of he fricks tons of women and he never stops trying to frick your character up the arse

I feel like I’m missing something, but… you’re aware that the game was called Mass Effect: Andromeda, right? Or are we talking about the ME game in early development?

In short, yes, I’m aware we’re talking about ME. I’m just trying to pin down what you’re actually referring to

Yeah Gale. I don’t remember the game ever implying he was bisexual in a natural way like they do with some of them. I distinctly remember them talking about all the royal women he’s fricked so it was a bit of shock when I was chatting him up and he just casually offered some anal.

But question how can I be called bad names and so heavily fought against by some ITT when I am sitting here claiming one of the wokest games I’ve ever seen is a damn damn good game. I don’t think it’s a 10/10 cuz the third act is far lower quality but it’s great. Make it make sense

I have a black friend, too.

That’s a terrible comparison to draw. First of all because real life it’s a ridiculous thing to see as some sort of smoke screen. If someone has a black friend they’re almost certainly not a racist. Second video games aren’t people and racism or other human failings dont truly factor in. Admit it, if I can enjoy the hell out of the wokest game I’ve ever seen, I could enjoy any woke. The reason i don’t is obvious. They’re almost always total shite. Reasons why people like me enjoy BG3 or apparent racist and bigots enjoy things like blade and house of the dragon can never be explained suspiciously
