None of the y2 activities drop powerfuls. Black armory, reckoning, menagerie, raids, etc. all drop legendary gear.

Anyone know if I still have to do the old quest to get into The Dreaming City or can I just go straight there? I saw a vid where you can speak with Mara Sov even after the Forsaken campaign?? Also should I wait on trying to get Cayde-6's Ace of Spades until I'm max level or is a level 900 one fine?

No clue. And just grab the weapon if you want it. Worst case, you like it and use a few upgrade mats to level it.

I was told you have to do the Awoken Talisman quest to be able to do an Exotic Quest in the Dungeon The Shattered Throne in The Dreaming City but no longer have to fix the talisman just to get back into the city.

I think Shattered Throne is available all the time now. I’m not sure what new players need to do to access it.

I am not a fan of comp right now, not that I've ever really been. The 3v3 I just am not good with the weapons needed for that type of play style for the maps given. I suck at quick scope sniping and don't have mountaintop/recluse yet.

Try running Last Word and a bow. I’m dog shite with a sniper but a bow is really effective especially if you have teammates helping clean up kills. Aim assist on those bows is absolutely retarded too.
Think they buffed TLW too because it’s felt way better in the crucible lately.

I'll give the bow a shot, not a bad idea.
I've tried running last word, but just can't quite get consistent with it. I'm still playing with a controller right now, so the recoil on tlw is a little ridiculous. I may try like a Bow and huckleberry or something.
My quickplay setup is usually service revolver or austringer and erentil. With the 6v6, I can usually control my optimal distance to enemies and what not. With 3v3, I can't seem to get in a groove there.
I've tried running last word, but just can't quite get consistent with it. I'm still playing with a controller right now, so the recoil on tlw is a little ridiculous. I may try like a Bow and huckleberry or something.

I was wrecking with Every Waking Moment in crucible last night. Not competitive but it has a very good rate of fire and handling

Yes, your power level doesn't matter. The weapon stats/rolls and gear perks are all still active, but nobody is going to be doing more damage to you because they are a higher light level.
However, when Iron Banner comes around, then your light level does matter.
There are some different game modes. Control is fairly basic zone type control game type with three points to hold. If your team holds 2+, you get extra points and so on. Quickplay games are 6v6. Competitive mode is 3v3.

On console myself. Hip fire is for sure your friend if you’re not already doing that. Huckleberry seems like a solid alternative if you don’t like TLW though. Bygones is also a solid alternative to a bow, thing kills so damn quick.
