Reminds me of WoW. The LFG raids were considerably easier but the loot reflected it. It was a shite show most of the times

What do y'all think of the prospector grenade launcher? I've been messing up some bosses with it. Can't decide if I like it more than merciless.

I'm kind of getting to the point where I'm getting some decent legendary guns and need to start keeping them. Haven't gotten prospector yet.

Any "definitely do not deletes" yet as far as crucible guns goes?

I'm loving how the armor/agility/recovery is tied to your armor and not your subclass now. I can't wait till I have a decent inventory of legendary armor to start trying some combinations. I always played D1 with a low armor high agility hunter and with how froggy the hunter feels in D2 I think I'll like it even more.

If you think that any power weapon is better than merciless, much less a grenade launcher, then you haven't used merciless.

Merciless with the shield that auto reloads when behind is supposedly pretty legit. I've read that you don't lose that increased rate of fire when you go to cover for the auto reload.

So i just picked this up yesterday and I really don't like it. Do the movement speeds feel really slow to anyone else? I loved D1 mechanics but it feels like they took those and slowed them down a decent bit, especially non sprint movement and warlock jumps. I'm hoping this gets better with better equipment, but it just doesn't feel as fluid as the first one. Also not a fan of the changes to weapon slots.

Maybe merciless is better but it feels like the prospector did more damage quicker.

I find the hunter feels twice as athletic as in D1. If there's something similar to bones of eao in D2 it's going to be incredible.

Interesting.

Lincoln Green (pulse), Nergal (Pulse), Better Devils (handcannon), Last Hope (sidearm), Uriel's Gift (auto), Prospector (Trials auto) to name a few.

Got a couple of those in the vault.

Has anyone confirmed that you don't have to equip the highest light stuff to get higher drops? Really punishing myself in crucible using blue stuff.

My new least favorite thing: not being able to see people's connection strength.

This has been confirmed. Weapons an armor will drop as if your highest gear is currently equipped, even if it isn't

I've had zero luck of anything dropping higher than 272 even though my light level is 277 from strike/nightfall/events....guess i have to wait for the milestone resets

They absolutely trashed the crucible in this game. D1 felt chaotic but also like you could pull off big 1v3 plays. Now it just feels like a slow paced team shooter with no space magic anymore. They traded what made D! fun and unique for "balance." Lame

Yea I feel the same way about it so far. It's a big team shooter circle jerk.

Currently it seems to be 85% spamming mida down alleys.

What's ironic is that from what I've seen, most of the fundamental changes they made were for the sake of "balance" and as a result 95% of players are using an autorifle or MIDA lol. Thats also why they scrapped the random perk weapon rolls so as not to give any players an unfair advantage, but as a result they got rid of the only real reason to grind for that slight edge in the crucible.

I bought this on Thursday. The mechanics are solid as ever. Bungie knows how to make a solid console shooter that just feels good to play. The game sort of funnels you down a path through the single player storyline at the outset. The campaign is forgettable but it's pretty standard stuff. The adventures can be pretty entertaining. I enjoy the little stories they tell.

Outside of that, this really feels like Destiny 1 with certain quality of life enhancements. The ability to fast travel anywhere without having to go into orbit is very handy as well as is having a map of the area to show where public events are about to take place.

The grind is still real though. I bought the game on Thursday and by Sunday night, I had played through the campaign and completed every strike. All that's left completing the adventures on every planet and raiding. 4 days in and I'm already to the point where it's just a matter of doing the same things over and over again.
