I only have a few of those so far, how many does each require?
I wonder what this Destiny's Ghjallahorn will be, the thing that Our sells the first week or two no one knows much about and ends up being a beast down the road pretty much everyone uses.

The fusion rifle Xur is selling is probably the most effective weapon in the raid, especially for the dog and Calus encounters.

I don't see getting enough shards before Sunday being able to get it. I've been reading some good things about that Titan armor too even though I haven't started that character yet.

bought the xur titan armor and the fusion rifle. already had the titan armor, but they were only like 200 light lvl, disassembled them. bought the one xur was selling at 262 light level. the fusion rifle plus glove armor have my titan up to 253 light level
fusion rifle is very legit
eta had to disassemble some very good legendary guns to be able to buy both exotics. hope that doesn't come back to bite me in the arse

Got that Merciless heavy tonight. I've heard it's a boss melter due to it's perk, eager to try it out.

Other than the fusion rifle, Xur sucked arse!!! The 3 pieces of armor sold you pretty much get by going through the story with each class.
I was hoping he would have other items for sale like he did in D1 such as the beefed up sparrow drives, power ammo synths, and I wish he sold Fireteam Medallions for shards.
frick paying real money to Eververse to be able to buy the medallions unless you get a good amount of bright dust by breaking down mods or in bright engrams.

Yeah I was nervous about demolishing my gun collection but thankfully able to hang on to enough and get the fusion rifle.
So the Titan armor is available at some point in the story? I want to get that but don't want another round of gun breakdown just for it.

They've added a new beta testing system for it. Not everyone got invites/tickets for it though. Same for the raid.
Idk why they wouldn't move forward with it though?

Ah, is that what the "guided" deal was? I had a feeling but wasn't sure. I do not miss spending all that time just looking for people. If you want to form a FT, allow it. If you just want to matchmake, allow it. You do it for regular strikes so what's the difference.

Because the Destiny crowd thinks they've cornered the market on difficult end game content, regardless of the fact that every MMO offers some form of matchmaking. "Our stuff is just way too complicated."
And if it really is, they really need to reconsider how unapproachable most of this stuff is.

It should definitely be an option. As long as it was selectable it'd be a good thing to do. Plenty people just don't do end game stuff because it lacks matchmaking.

They've got a matchmaking system for both Raids & Nightfall via Guided Games. They just aren't live for everyone until the end of the month.

LFG groups where people are actually communicating can't get passed one challenge in this raid.
The Oryx fight, Atheon, etc....all require communication. 3/4's of people who casually play Destiny (and are the ones who bitch about no matchmaking) aren't wanting to get on their mics or learn mechanics. They want to go in and have the loot and encounter handed to them.

I agree and I'd never use it, but having it as an option wouldn't bother me. I tried to LFG kings fall and WOTM once each and quit both pretty quickly. I'd completed both several times with my group and you can only take so much of somebody who's never done it calling you out for trying to do the whole damn thing yourself because everyone is fricking up.
The only thing I could see it causing problems with is trials just because there would be a big population of teams with no communication who would be bullet sponges and watering down the competitive level of it.
