Okay finally ready to pop in here.

I am power 283.
How is everyone looking?

192 I believe. Almost to 20 so I guess I'll probably start side questing in a bit.

How the hell are y'all leveling up your light so fast? And on 2 characters??

Feels like I've played a lot but the light on the one titan I've played is about 212. Of course playing a lot to me is like 2 hours a day since it released.

Also how do you get exotic weapon quests

I believe the achievement on PS4 was like 3% of all players who ever booted up the game completed the raid. It may have been lower.

Once you do it on one character, the second is way easier.

1. During the campaign on my alt I skip every cutscene and also just run by enemies to get to the end of the level ASAP.

2. Once you get to 20, you can move high PL weapons from your main to the your alt and it had me sitting at like 240'ish. So since my armor was what was holding me back significantly, once I got armor upgrades the PL started shooting up a lot.

3. Once you get to 250-255, start turning in your planetary tokens to the planet faction leader to try and close the gap between 250'ish to 265.

4. Once you get to 265, legendary engrams and blues won't decrypt any higher, unless a legendary comes w/ a legendary mod (+5 PL). So you rely on exotic engrams and luminous engrams (powerful rewards from milestones, IE. completing the nightfall, weekly crucible, etc).

So once you hit 265 it starts to slow down, but as long as you didn't pop your luminous engrams, you can continue to raise your PL significantly. Add that w/ the extra power you get from random exotic drops and the exotic quests it's not that bad.

Also, once you get above 265, lets say you're PL 285 (w/out any legendary +5 mods). Your blue and legendary engram cap will raise as well. I believe they drop -6 of what your power level is. So you can you still upgrade some guns/armor, even if they get left a bit behind from your strongest stuff.

Another example, but there appears to be some kind of bug and no one knows what causes/fixes it, but people doing multiple characters of the same class. If you do that, it goes WAY faster than doing alt's of different classes. But like I said, there's a bug where people's exotics/luminous engrams aren't dropping the correct PL because of multiple alts of one class.

Save your weekly turn ins and exotic quest lines since they have no restriction on power. Save your rep tokens too.

Start by getting to lv 20.

Then grind public event blues until lv 260. (this is by far the fastest way to 260. Blues soft cap at 260)

At 260 turn your rep tokens in, you should have a bunch.
This will get you to 265. (Vendor legendaries soft cap at 265 with a chance of a plus 5 mod on them)

From 265ish or higher you start turning in your weeklies and exotic quest lines. No cap on how high these can get you.

At this point you should be very close to 280. At 280 you can buy plus 5 mods on all your gear slots. This should get you to around 285.

Only way to get higher than that is to grind exotics, do the weeklies again after the reset, or do the weeklies and exotic quest lines on same class alts.

In those 2 hours, you should be doing patrols and public events and scouting for chests.

They are the quests that are marked on the different planets. But, as some have probably already suggested, hold off on those until you are at the soft cap of 265 power. The reason for this is that the exotic rewards are not capped at a certain power level. Really no reason to jump on them now.

I'm at 266, but I was playing 5-6 hours a day for the first 4 days. Now I'm about 2 hours a day, so I've slowed down a bit.

Only thing I may have messed up on is I think I've turned in all of the luminous engrams I received as I got them. Guess I'll be grinding public events till 260 now.
