It will come out on PS4 yes, however it is a PS5 game developed for the PS5.

Death Stranding has my interest for sure.
I never pre-order games because I don't get the point of doing that but the last of us 2 is tempting.

That makes sense. Next gen will drop holiday 2020 most likely. This gives current gen access for a while with the upgraded version a next gen release title most likely with its own package/ps5 bundle just in time for the holiday.

I want to believe Death Stranding will turn out to be this absolutely amazing thing nobody has ever seen before but I'm also slightly getting a vibe of that episode of Community where Abed thought he was making the most meta/deep movie ever but it was just a meaningless crap

There's rumors that a release date of Nov 8, 2019 leaked for Death Stranding, which seems pretty soon given how little we've actually seen but that would be pretty good. Really don't have any heavy hitters lined up for this Christmas season yet.
