there's a shortcut very close to the gargoyles that takes you right back to Firelink

I'm tempted to look it up in case I completely missed it. I enjoyed finding the connections. My first was that ladder getting kicked down.

it's pretty obvious. travel from the blacksmith bonfire to the gargyole's church and you'll see it

I think another thing I need to remember in this game is blocking. I know I know....duh. But in BB I just never had to because the game was so attack focus. Can you block the gargoyle attacks?

I got Dark Souls on Steam, and I dunno, but it seemed the port to PC was all sorts of fricked up. It kept trying to tell me to his XBox keys (X button, not X key) during the tutorial. I didn't bother past that because it seemed lazy to me.

Prepare to die does that, I played it with mouse and keyboard and it still told me to press non-existent Xbox buttons.

reading a thread on reddit, i had no idea how strong pyromancy is. i knew it was good but i never really explored how good.
