You can go to dark root and fight sif. While you're there be sure to load up on purple moss for blight town.
Hydra fight is easy if you know the spot to stand. I can tell you if you want.
Undead asylum is the tutorial level I thought? You should be past that. Unless you mean going back for te iron ring. Which you don't have to fight the demon to get.
Catacombs you don't even have to go thru. You can drop down in to a couple ledges and go kill pinwheel, easiest boss in the game. Haven't even been hit by him yet in 3 fights.

getting killed by pinwheel is a humbling experience.
when my mage was still getting her sea legs and had shite spells, it happened to me.
I curled into a ball, cried, and promptly forgot that it had ever happened....

bad things happen when you spec a character to be a long range caster and you either
a) run out of spells
b) keep getting tagged in the middle of a casting animation
ETA: Picked up the new Dragon's Dogma that comes with the added expansion pack. I won't be praising the sun for a while with that to keep me busy. Although, I'm sure I'll return to Lordran just prior to Dark Souls II so I can prepare to die all over again.

Yep, that's it. You can go the back way by killing the hydra and going up a ladder but that's harder.
There's one spot you can stand and basically eliminate te hydra without getting hit once.

I have been playing through on my new character.. Holy shite am I doing well. I am getting every weapon, ring, and rare item that I can possibly come across. Putting points into skills properly and only have the Four(bastard) Kings left before I go dominate Gwyn again.
