Prepare to lose half your body weight and not shower for at least 8 days.

Here are a few tips learned from this thread:
1) Control your breathing, breathing is key
2) Remove yourself from your loved ones while you play. No one wants to lose anyone here
3) A WII style wrist controller connection is a good idea.
4) Dont forget to eat
5) The side of you that will come out is not a demon from hell trying to possess you. It is simply your pure anger.
6) Get outside at some point. PRAISE THE SUN

put back on your thief armor. learn to rely on rolling and block only when it's impossible to roll. rolling is the key that people figure out much later.

Alright, so more about evasion than armor? Should I pump dexterity?

Screw that guys. We all had to take our lumps. Make HTC take his as well!
You should add some of us from op GT list, if you're on Xbox. It's way more fun kicking a boss' arse with a friend. But it's also fun to die. Over and over and over till you figure out the weak spot
Can't wait till I get the dark souls itch again and attack the dlc

Also, I wouldn't hurt to max out pyromancy. It's a powerful weapon and doesn't level your character up, which can be beneficial

demons souls is so much easier that it makes my stomach hurt. i can beat almsot every boss without getting touched

That's quite to the contrary to what the PS3 fanboys have said ...

I want to download Demon Souls for free and play it but I think it only stays good for as long as you are a Playstation Plus member. I have a free one month subscription that I need to use but I don't think I will have the time within the next 2 months to play it.
Is this how it works or do I have it wrong? I've been wanting to get back into my DS New Game +++ but just don't have the time.

I've got a couple cool looking weapons. Some axe that is 380 damage but I need 50 strength to wield it. Is it worth me farming to level up to 50 strength? I just beat the Gaping Demon in the Depths. I enjoy joining other peoples games to fight the bosses.

I assume you have the Dragon King Greataxe. I did the same thing, I had someone help me kill the gaping dragon and they cut off the tail for me.
I went with a strength build just to be able to wield this weapon on my first play through. I didn't farm souls just for strength but did a gradual strength level up. It is a cool weapon but has a slow attack speed. I also think there are some better weapons out there for a strength build. I just couldn't imagine farming the amount of souls needed to get to level 50, considering you are still early in the game, just to use a weapon. But, that is whats awesome about the game, do what works for you and see where it takes you.
You play on PS3 right?
