Dark Souls 2 - Here I go again

Another pain in the butt game is happening but that pain in the butt is different.
Q: The enemies disappear over time!? You can't geind like you used to!?
And you don't get full health! Your health decreases each death. You have to use an effigy!
Is Dark Souls 3 like this?
Either way, I spent the souls to get the lockstone to get, luckily, the Cloranthy ring...cause I am putting all my souls into health stats if half of them go away...
The game was $9.99 on steam on black Friday. Look for it during the Christmas sale for similar savings! To join in the butt pain.

You can use bonfire ascetics to reinstate enemies, but you shouldn't have to "grind" for anything unless it's armor or gear. The health thing is irrelevant because you'll have more effigies than you'll know what to do with.

Don't burn bonfire ascetics just yet. While it will bring enemies back, it will also increase the difficulty of the zone.
You will get enough souls through just playing to get whatever you want.
If you dodge roll, make sure you level up adaptability. This will increase the i-frames of your rolls.
Once you get to Heide's Tower of Flame, you can find the Rings of Binding to reduce your total health loss to 25% instead of 50%.

There's a fairly popular dude on yt who beats bosses like that at lvl700 and some people think he's hot shite. That was a lvl 240 on NG+13.
