I have the base 500gb PS4 and i heard the graphics are bad and multiple crashes. Im not getting a PS5 anytime soon. Is cyberpunk worth it? Buddy told me to go find a PS4 pro to run it on but idk.

I'm playing it on a base PS4 and there are definitely technical issues. Most of them are graphical and if you turn off certain settings you can aleviate them, but they are there.
I've had an issue with semi-frequent crashing too, although they just released a patch that supposedly will help that. In 10-12 hours of playtime it has crashed 4 times. It also has eaten all my settings twice and I've had to redo them all (although I took screenshots of them so I can quickly rebuild them after the first time it happened).
If you highly value a very smooth and glitch/bug free experience, you should definitely wait. Give it a few months and I'm sure it'll be much better experience.
The regular PS4 version is always going to lag behind the other versions in terms of looks and performance but if give them a few months they'll probably at least make it respectable, right now it feels more like a final stage of a beta. Close, but not quite there.
Regardless, I'm playing it and enjoying it and am just rolling with the issues. I've got a high pain tolerance for subpar game performance though and I'd rather play the game now even with the issues than wait.

Like I said in the other thread
Won’t even try with my day one PS4
Won’t play it until I have a PS5

I'm about to fire it up for the first time. Yong Yea just posted a youtube video showing the PS4 issues and it looks like a shitshow. I don't have the patience to wait for a PS5, so if it's really bad, I may buy it again for PC. My laptop isn't anything special (2.3ghz i5, GTX 1060), but I'm sure it can do better than what the PS4 looked like in that video.

You definitely will need the latest patches though. The 1.0 version on ps4 is the major shitshow all the meme videos are based off of. I've been playing 1.02 mostly fine (minus the crashing) and am about to try out 1.04 for the first time so fingers crossed for more improvement.

I’ve been waiting for the game for years. I grabbed it and I’m running the OG PS4. No it’s not perfect but I’m still having lot of fun with it. I have no doubt I’ll playing this for awhile and will just pick up on PS5 where I left off.

Yeah. I've got the 500 gig PS4 too.
The graphics aren't as visually stunning like HZD but its good. Only got through the first couple of missions so far but no crashes/glitches yet. I updated to the 1.04 update before playing
This game so far is interesting but can be overwhelming with all the hint updates. I'm already questioning my build too but I can change that later.

PS4 Pro and I have had one crash in about 3 hours of play time. Load times are slow as well.

Well, and this game seems to have almost unlimited replay ability. Between the 3 different builds and then all the different choices under those.

The lifepaths don't matter. After 30 minutes all three paths merge into the same story. Minus a new dialogue option once every 2 hours, that doesn't even change the actual conversation.
There's a lot wrong with this game that isn't just graphics and bugs. I can look past those. Those are fixable. What I can't get past is CDPR claiming this is the most immersive open world RPG. It isn't even an RPG.
Better build your character how you want them in the beginning. Can't get your haircut. Can't get tattoos. No cosmetic mods at all in game. No car or apartment customization. Braindances can't be used outside the main missions ones. Even though they give you the equipment and allow you to purchase them.

All AI is a scripted. There's no traffic AI. If you block an intersection cars will just sit there. Because of this there are no car chases. Cops spawn behind you and start shooting because they can't drive. Walk across the street out of their line of sight and they forget you exist.
There are no hobbies or mini games to interact with. The entire city is a back drop/loading screen in between missions.
Also if you play a stealth build - be wary of the throw knives perk. Once you throw a knife you can't retrieve it.

I don't think the game is good enough to justify playing on a base PS4 given all the issues.
Wait until you have a PS5. By then, the next gen enhancements might be available.

I went to play the arcade games and couldn't and I was very surprised.
I'm sure there will be free dlc later adding alot of that stuff and I think but was all originally planned, but it's clear they bit off way more than they could chew with this game.
The cop thing is pretty infuriating because it robs you of any ability to use strategy. One quest npc was a huge a-hole so after the quest was over I just blasted him away and the cops immediately spawned in the room I was in.

Since the last patch the game looks better and isn’t crashing as much but it still has a lot of glitches. One of my favorites is my gun will disappear and I’ll start shooting an invisible gun. They will release free dlc like Witcher that fixes some of the issues in game. Witcher 3 was a mess at launch as well but after a year they fixed everything. I don’t blame anyone for waiting a few months for them to fix things and add new content.

I stopped ~4 hours into the PS4 version to try out the PC version. The visuals on PS4 were just too shitty for me. I don't need the best looking game, but the blurriness and framerate made it difficult to play.
I have a decent gaming laptop (i5, NVidia 1060) that I assumed wouldn't be able to handle the game very well. Took a chance and downloaded it out on GOG (can return the game within 30 days for a refund) and it's just MUCH more enjoyable to play than it was on PS4. It certainly doesn't look as good as the previews, but it runs well enough so as to not affect the gameplay. Haven't had a crash yet through 9 hours on the PC version.
