the lifepaths are pretty obvious cut content. the only difference between them is the opening 15min of the game lol

Seems like the intro serves as a means to meet Jackie. The circumstances vary but I’m assuming that once you’re done with the meet up, the only difference are unique dialogue options related to each path. Not anything truly groundbreaking.
This game has interesting elements but it’s clear they they were in over their head. Maybe they can refine the formula moving forward but it’s not the genre defining instant classic people were expecting. It’s a poor mans mash up of deus ex, gta, and open world Bethesda games.

My first was streetkid played through the opening and then crash for the night. Now that I had a feel for the game started another as Corpo and liking it so far. Like others have said, the introduction is different but the only differences I've seen after that are some extra dialogue options.

It feels like the gameplay of Borderlands with the open world structure of a GTA (mixed with a little bit of Witcher 3 side quests) and the world design of a Deus Ex.

Yeah, and they were supposed to impact your romance options as much as your body type. Judy, for example, was supposed to only be into women who were street kids who acted like street kids (not wearing high end clothes, etc).
Obviously they wanted to do even more - starting to think that part of the delay process was them constantly adding more and more and more, to the point where they were like, "shite, we're putting in WAY too much."
It'll be curious to see what the DLCs hold.

Any of you guys get the dildo weapon?
I picked it up thinking, "WTF?"
Then I immediately double checked to make sure I didn't accidentally load Saints Row 4

Corpo, started a run on the PS4 but it kept crashing on me and PS4 is always being used for other things. Bought it on PC and started another Corpo run, zero crashes on Ultra and enjoying it.

I haven't been in this thread yet but I'm loving this game.
If you guys haven't gotten Skippy yet, you MUST
Also, there's a way to sell an item and then re-buy for much cheaper. I have 500K now after doing it over and over for a bit.
Also, I'm loving the photo mode in the game. And I might have a crush on Panam.

It's a tossup between Meredith and Judy for me, I know I will get to meet up with Meredith soon.

Absolutely. The lifepaths are basically which opening missions you get at this point. The dialog options I've gotten as street kid are all superfluous and haven't changed anything (that I'm aware of). It's possible only certain endings are available to certain paths or something later but I dunno

I've played the game over 30 hours and that's enough to give it a fair review.
I'm going to ignore all the glitches and focus on just the game itself, pretending the glitches and bugs don't exist.
The things the game does well:
1. The world is very interesting and compelling and well detailed, way more interesting than your typical GTA city you've seen 10 times at this point. So A+ for the setting.
2. The missions are pretty cool, well structured, interesting, they feel real and have variety in them. They did a good job of making many of the missions dynamic in you can tackle them a variety of ways. You can do many of them with combat, stealth, hacking, etc. Various doors you can open with your attribute points make them different depending on your build.
3. The voice acting is great, the characters and story are very well done.
The things the game does poorly:
1. Many game systems are half baked. The loot system is tedious and annoying. The RPG elements don't feel impactful or meaningful enough. I don't feel my upgrades or choices or attribute points. When I get new ability or perk points I'm not excited, I often ignore them until I do "house keeping" because they don't really do much for me
The healing system makes the game too easy, you can just grab a shotgun and bulldoze your way through everything blasting and healing. Healing items are powerful, you can carry hundreds of them, and there is no cooldown. That sorta system effectively makes you immortal and that's boring.
2. The world isn't interactive enough. No minigames, no side activities, you can't interact with 99% of the vendors in the world. In this massive city full of sex for sale there are TWO prostitutes you can pick from? No barber shop, no tattoo parlor, no transmog for your clothes or car. You can buy brain dances from vendors but can't experience them (obviously more cut content). Outside of hte scripted missions and jobs, it's very barebones. It's missing stuff you'd expect to be there. They clearly intended more of this stuff and just didn't have adequate time to get it all in.
3. The AI of the NPC's is terrible. GTA San Andreas had better NPC AI. The cop AI is a big one that comes up a ton.
Here's another great example from my own playthrough: Come across a crime, a gang is terrorizing homeless people. 4 homeless people are cowering and pleading with the gang members who are abusing them. I kill all the gang members in a fire fight. The entire fight the homeless NPC's remain stationary and cowering. After I successfully complete the activity I get my reward. The NPC's remain cowering and silent. They never reacted to the fight, or my victory, or thanked me, or ran away.
This sort of thing is the norm really. Games like Red Dead Redemption II the AI of the NPC's is light years beyond this.
So yeah, overall, the game is a gigantic mess even without the technical issues, but it's still fun bizarrely enough.

That's all super fair.
Ignoring the bugs, my biggest gripes are lack of character customization after initial creation & lack of right click ADS toggle setting.

There’s a masterpiece buried in this thing, unfortunately it’s a year or more away at this point.

even though it runs fine on my PC, I think I'm just gonna wait so they can get all the other deeper issues worked out

Will say, can't go wrong with Panam or Judy.
I'm playing Female V on my first playthrough and I have to say, half the time it sounds like Panam is flirting with me anyway.
