I'm about 10 hours or so in now and I'm still in the first part. Loving the side missions. I've "paid back a debt" and now I'm just working in gearing up.
The game isn't without faults but I haven't run into anything major yet. It's running much smoother since the patch.

The 1.04 patch seems more stable graphically, I haven't noticed nearly as many extreme texture flucutations or popins as before. It's hard to say though but it does seem better. I did have another crash though, but only one in about another 6 or so hours of playing so hopefully it will now be a less frequent thing. There's still lots of little annoying bugs but nothing game breaking by any means.
Regardless I finished the first act and have begun act 2. The plot points around this transition are great, it's kind of strange that they pretty much spoiled them all pretty loudly the past year or so, but luckily it's all uncharted territory from here. I'm guessing the story has plenty or more interesting twists and turns otherwise they wouldn't have spoiled the first major one so.

Not sure if anyone else is having issues with the combat but every once in a while it feels like fallout new vegas aiming down sights.

17 GB update on ps4 this morning.
I'm finished with school and wanted to play, my hdd wasn't big enough overnight for the patch, just gonna play while it downloads.
But a patch 2 as 17 GB is a lot of shite fixed I'm guessing

Haven’t had a crash since the new update but only played for about n hour this morning.
I’ve actually been driving first person, I feel like it swings waaaay less when I do.
Into Act 2 myself now.
I get all the complaints about the bugginess, but man, when I really think about the scope of this game and what they’re trying to accomplish, I think it’d almost be a modern miracle if there weren’t. I don’t have a doubt they’re gonna keep patching this (especially since they still have a full next gen update rolling out.) if you’re a purist and don’t want to play this until it’s a more refined game, I get it. But in a weird way I kinda like being along for the ride of the game getting more streamlined. Considering the subject matter of the game, I almost look at it like being in a rough “simulation”. Where the existence of the character and its surroundings aren’t even that stable. Rose colored glasses maybe, but hey

I like that view.

What difficulty are y’all playing on? I’m on hard and I’ve built my character so far around crit chances and crit damage which keeps enemies from being bullet sponges. I’m expecting hard to become pretty easy when I start upgrading more stuff. On the boxing match that has you fighting the two guys stay close to the stairs and they will only fight you one at a time. It’s nearly impossible to box both at higher difficulty without going for strength build.

Hard
I had no issue with the “twins”.

The biggest issue I had with boxing the twins were the targeting and camera. Melee fighting in FPS games is always so AIDS. They really could have used a lock on style system when trying to melee.

My only gripe so far is there was no reason to lock this into First person, especially when you can drive around in third

Am I the only one having weird movement issues? It feels like my character moves in ways I'm no where near actually doing... never had a crash yet in 4.5 hours.

Man y’all remember when companies would release finished games? That was a cool time.

Problem now is many games are simply too big and complex to create and test properly. If your game takes 500 people working 8 years, sometimes 60-80 hour weeks, nothing about that screams eventual success.
These massive open world games are at the breaking point in terms of human effort needed to create them. They are trying to create a fully functional world sim by hand, it's kind of madness.
I wonder how much of it is plain ego too. Part of me admires the ambition but another part of me thinks they stopped caring about making fun video games at some point and are now just trying to build something magnificent for magnificence's sake. We just need more video games and less art projects.
