Well, I guess I'll have to play then. I honestly played the intro and like five minutes after and quit because the game glitched out and the girl (dont remember her name) kept asking me to give her a boost up and nothing I pressed would do that.

I'm actually really into games that play more as a movie (one of my faves of all time was Alan Wake, even though that was presented as a TV show). Hearing that makes it much more interesting to me.

Thanks everyone.

The part after the prologue where you have Tess is easily the worst part of the game. Just get through that

You have to be looking at the right spot to give her the boost. It will give you triangle or something.

I wish the section with Tess didn't feel so anti-climactic; the event at the capital building hits with a thud. If you can get passed that, the game picks up and never lets off the gas. I'm not a huge fan of the gameplay itself, I deem it simply good enough; however, some of the tedious combat sections are worth it to experience the story and its conclusion.

Honestly I think the game was better because I played it on hard the first time. Really having to make important decisions about ammo equipment made the immersion that much better. I would recommend it.

The Last of Us is one game that'll let you know how important a good story is to you compared to good gameplay.

I don't really blame anyone for disliking The Last of Us. It's not Naughty Dog's best game, though the story is extremely well done for a video game.

I don't see how it's not their best game

Yes, yes it is. The only games close are Uncharted 2 and Crash Bandicoot 3.

The Last of Us is the game that really got me playing video games again after I graduated from college.

I had more fun playing Uncharted 2 and even 3 despite its flaws, but I enjoyed The Last of Us for aesthetic reasons and its movie-quality story.

i just started playing and just made it to Bill's town. It was a little slow in the beginning but is really picking up now. I'm enjoying it.
