City of Heroes Returns!!! (not a trick)

For any thinking about playing here, I am on the Indomitable server, character name: Magnificent. I've already created a SG for my friends from various games.

Last night (05/04/19) the Devs announced that they hit a new server record of 6,100 people ingame at one time! This is spread across 4 servers and two were maxxed out (@ 2,150 players)! Indomitable was one of the two that wasn't maxxed, but not sure how long that will last at this rate (max possible population at this point is 8k at any one time).
Last night (05/07/2019) they added a fifth server: Halcyon. They've also implemented a way to transfer your character to another server (still buggy). They also announced that they are accepting donations for expenses and would be closing the ability to donate once those expenses were met. It didn't take long (only 20 minutes!).
Yesterday (05/08/2019) it was announced they are moving their servers this weekend from Netherlands to Canada. Although I only experienced latency issues during extremely high usage periods, it should still be so marginal benefit to NA players.
Also, apparently 4chan has their own server. Don't play here if you are easily offended.

Edt: I spent over 10K to Korean Influence and Infamy farmers in that game over the years. I'll give my first born up just to get back into that world.

I can neither confirm nor deny I was briefly part of a secret CoH server. Hypothetically speaking, if I was it was a full copy of not only the game (with all your old characters) but the upcoming releases like the new AT that would have been introduced in a few months if CoH had continued. Sadly that server went under, or, I should say, it would have gone under if it existed and I was a member of it. Which I obviously was not.

What this really means is that a fan-run server can happen again and NCSoft may be fine with it.

Did a quick test install on a laptop and it fired up without issue.
Setting up a server now. Want to get that out the way while support is still available. Once that happens then CoH can never be taken away from us again. Will post a link once I have my game databases up.

You need any support Coyote? For the server if when you get it going. I am not sure if I am interested in those public’s servers just yet

I started setting up my only bare metal Ubuntu Server that is used as a test box.
Never deployed any type of database schema involving a game server that wasn't already pkged. It seems straight forward, shouldn't be an issue. But I'm no IT pro.

150K accounts created this past weekend.
You saw RAD and KIN MMs? OP maybe? I'm not really a MM player but created a Thugs/RAD MM just for gang war.
Hope PvP comes around. I miss RV and arena.

I forgot about how enhancements evolved as you leveled up. I was all proud of myself for having the best Training enhancements, then I got around 10 and started seeing the first of the better enhancements... :doh!:
I'm thinking about getting in on some sewers groups this weekend for fast exp and $$ so I can invest in more of the enhancements that don't lose effectiveness as you level.
