I don’t understand why they didn’t show actual gameplay, what were we watching? It seemed like campaign mode with character voices.

Arc Raiders convinced me that extraction shooters can be fun.. It just has no real end game... Collect gear, bring that gear on the next raid, collect or lose gear.

Arc Raiders has this. It just gets lost in the farming aspect. Every extraction shooter has them. The original DMZ had them, too. How much detail goes into them is a different story.
Every vendor, regardless of the game, sends you out on a scavenger hunt.

Arc raiders doesn’t do a good job of letting you track your trials, missions, and things you mark as needing to be collected.
I should be able to pull up a screen mismatch to see how many more mushrooms I need to finish my chicken upgrades.

I’ll wait until the October pre-release gameplay videos start rolling out. More likely than not that the final game won’t look like this.
