I do agree they are just about perfect for an AD that is located on someones 2nd level... take out the AD and then follow up with giants/healer to wipe out the rest.

I've started using my lvl 4 hog riders more, there nice to drop behind a couple giants since they can jump walls

I'm concerned about my village. I left for work with 100k elixir and 50k gold, which isn't a drop in the bucket for y'all but it's a ton to me. When I left I had two archer towers upgrading so my D is quite vulnerable. I just hope someone comes in and destroys my TH to put up my shield, and isn't able to take all my resources.

I've been attacked every day when I get home and check it. I figured it's worth it to upgrade my defense quicker anyway so I doubled up on the archer upgrade. I'm starting to figure out how to gain resources quicker. I just skip battles until I find someone who isn't protecting their mines and pumps as much and unleash goblins all over them while the defense focuses on giants and barbs/archers. Attacked one this morning. Lost the battle. By the time they took out my goblins and "defeated" me I already 90k gold and 60k elixir FTW
Next in line:
Wizard tower or air defense
After those are done I'll focus on research and barracks while my town hall upgrade. Figure I should be hitting TH 6 by next week at the latest

You're still at a low enough town hall where you don't have to worry about aerial attacks.

I've been hit with aerial attacks a couple times. My air defense and archers took them out pretty quickly tho

I have one. I set up clash on the ipad which is tied to my wife's profile/account. I will have to figure out if I can tie just that one app to mine

That's what I ended up doing. She plays some games too but I don't think it should prevent her from logging in. She doesn't use Game Center on her phone anyway

Finally took the plunge to TH 9. Man 6 mil for level 6 giants is steep, but 7.5 mil for level 6 archers... How long did it take you guys to save up for that?
I'm so used to level 8 TH raids where elixir didn't matter and I'd go heavy dragons, now should I switch over to Archers/Barbs and drop trophies for easy targets?
