Spend $100 more on the 5600x if you can get your hands on one

This isn't worth it, IMO.

It's close to impossible to get a 3080 right now, so I had to pay way over market value to get one, but the msrp is $699. I'd wait for the stock of that to replenish if possible.

Might need to go higher W if you have the 2060, a bunch of RGBs, more than one monitor, etc. My 750W couldn't handle the 3080 plus monitors and RGBs.

If you want to get ahead of some future upgrades and save a pain in the arse, you could go higher even though you may not need the extra W now.

You had some other shite fricked up then

750w is more than enough for a 3080 and even something like a 9900k.

Nah, thankfully the power seemed to be the only problem.

I have two monitors, RGBs on everything, and every port filled with a wire. Everything turned on at a base level but it just didn’t run.

Got a 850W and it immediately ran like a finely tuned machine. If there was another problem, it hasn’t shown itself yet and it's been a couple months.

Monitors take no power from the computer, there's a reason they have their own power. RGB fans use 5w at most too per fan, and USB devices use that much wattage too (many use none)

I'm a big proponent of not waiting to build, but if you are going to spend $650 on a 2060, you just need to put everything on hold until you can get your hands on a better card.

Seriously, forget about the rest of the build and just focus on buying a card. Once you have a card from this gen in hand, come back and we'll talk.

With the way GPUs are right now, its almost better to go prebuilt because those guys can actually get them. Im usually all for building and just did my new build but I ordered my stuff around August last year. Check out something like this Artesian Builds it has the same CPU and comes with a 3060. The link is the build as it comes but you can do whatever upgrades you want. Its also cheaper than the build you listed. These guys do good work. They have a Twitch channel and will do your build live online for you.

Yeah, some moron hammered me on the Tech Board a couple of weeks ago for saying the new Ryzen cpus and any new graphics cards are nearly impossible to get without paying a huge premium.

You're a sensitive boy, aren't ya Tommy?

I bought a 3070 from BestBuy for MSRP. Was that the card I wanted? Nope, but I had a build to finish. And literally everyone I know who has been actively trying (defined as: signed up for twitter or discord stock notifications that they actually act on) to buy a gpu from this gen has been able to do so if they were willing to be flexible. I know people who have managed to buy several.

Same with cpus. Want a 5900x? Yeah, you're going to have a bad fricking time. Willing to settle for a 5800x? You can get that done with a little bit of effort.

To save myself from responding to you in the other thread: you can keep saying "bullshite" all you want. Doesn't change the fact that many people have been successful without buying from scalpers.

Genuinely not sure why you're so invested in this position.
