First off the game is gorgeous. I almost shite my pants when Link left the little chamber and looked over all of Hyrule.

However, the controls are arse backwards. Is there no way to reverse the A and B buttons?

Also, what's the deal with not being able to drop some weapons? I can't get rid of these fricking sticks to pick up anything else.

ETA: I couldn't play for more than 5 minutes so I wasn't able to tinker with it much. I'm not an idiot.

I had to leave the house and had a few minutes to post this instead of wasting time figuring it out on my own later.

You can drop everything. It is just a pain in the arse.

I get the hype and the love for this game but there is a lot I don't like about this style of Zelda and the durability of weapons is one of them. Soundtrack is dissapointing and the dungeons are neat but lack that Zelda feel. I still put about 4 other Zelda titles above this one.

Throw the weapon right before it breaks.

Is there a catch to this?

I'd go into the inventory menu and the drop option would be unselectable.

I just beat the shite out of a rock until they broke so I could pick up something else.

What's the deal with the small numbers next to the weapons in the quick select option? It said 5 next to the stick, but I broke one and it was gone.

I think that represents the attack dmg compared to what you currently have equipped.

So itll be 5->5 if you have stick A equipped and are looking at stick B.

Not sure on that though. Its pretty meaningless on the grand scheme. Bombs and arrows are very effective

It took a while for me to get used to it, but once you get off the plateau you'll be fine.

Literally the only weapon you can't drop is the Master Sword. Go to the menu, click on it, and then click drop.

WTF? I can understand your other beefs, but the music was great in this game. Reminded me of Joe Hisaishi scoring a Miyazaki film

The weapon durability is a huge issue with me early on (I've dropped the game for now to play Horizon), but the music has been outstanding. Just enough Zelda nostalgia to please the fans but it doesn't beat you over the head with it.

I think the Hylian Shield actually does have a limit.

But I was referring to items that you can't drop. They don't give you that option when it comes to the Master Sword.

The music was meant to be atmospheric, not epic....but just wait until you get to Hyrule Castle. That music is FIRE!

That was your classic Zelda theme basically. The music when you walk into any of the towns in the game felt like it came straight from a Miyazaki movie to me.

You can swap the jump button.

I did enjoy a few town themes but combat music is just all over the place and shrines are dull. I understand it has to be a different style when roaming such an open world.
