OK I am about to pop it in and fool around. Someone with a fresh character needs to host though since I am sort of leveled up.

You don't have to start over on your character. As long as the lowest leveled person is hosting the game, you're fine. If you host, the quests you completed won't be available to you, so the lower person will miss out. So basically you just run around with them until they catch up, and then you can start doing quests together.

Co-op and single player is the same thing. Only difference is how many people are playing. You could run solo through the entire game and it's the same experience, just not as fun.

what's the best character to get?
scout/sniper: i enjoy sniping
solder: looks like he is the best rounded
lilith/skank: hot, good with SMG, useless special.
brick: high health, explotions, heavy machine guns, mehh special.

I've only played with Lilith and Brick. Bricks beserker attack was effective and hilarious. Pretty much your tank (takes more damage than anyone else). Lilith was pretty fun, although I never got the hang of her phase walk. Soldier is well rounded and is pretty much the healer of the group. Alien eventually got a mod that resupplied ammo for the entire group as long as they were in close proximity.

I work tonight but I'm off friday, saturday, and sunday and my wife is working this weekend. So I'm gonna take my prescribed ADD medication and partake in activities online.
What I'm trying tos down sunday night say is I'll be down to play tomorrow night. Gotta play some Battlefield too. Just bought it.
