Actually a bit more than double now. It keeps widening.
PS is now 71% of the "two console market".
So with playstation being around 82 million units that puts xbox at around 34 estimated.
So yea, the crossplay isn't going to happen and the impact people hope it has on PS isn't going to happen either. No big game is going to take a stand against that install base.

Difference is that Bethesda provides a warranty on a game bought form GameStop, and that same warranty is implied when you purchase an item new from an outlet such as Amazon. They are simply protecting the company from litigation. It's a smart policy actually.
