Yeah. It’s bat shite crazy but that’s ok. It’s fun. Strong narrative? Nah.

Dude just needs an editor that can tell him "no." There's some really good stuff nested within the MGS4 narrative but there's just so much bullshite as well
MGSV with vocal cord parasites and shite

Have you listened to his new podcast? I haven’t, I’m curious if he’s as crazy there.

Before we dig too deep, we might be able to clear this up with a foundational question:
Did you obsessively seek out, find, and read/watch all of the narrative tidbits found in tablets/vantage points/etc?

Not all of them but most. Watched a 2 hour style Joseph Anderson vain video on it too. I’m aware of much of everything.

Then I would be curious to know your complaint. While nothing about it was Earth-shattering, I found the underlying lore narrative to be very interesting and compelling, and I thought that the top layer narrative was interesting enough on its own, but the entire package worked extremely well as they interlaced back and forth.

A game that often gets overlooked but has a very good narrative and voice acting is SOMA. The narrative could stand on its own as a cool short story but the decisions it asks the player to make in the game really got under my skin.
