It's a made up story with fictional characters, for sure. But people are acting like have Alf driving a sherman.

I know you went through Reddit and let it do all that dirty work for you, but even that was too much. You can have this thread back now

quote:
Hannie Schaft was a Dutch resistance fighter. Born Jannetje Johanna Schaft in 1920, she had to drop out of her university studies because she refused to sign an oath of loyalty to the Nazis. She joined a resistance organization called the Raad van Verzet, which leaned toward a communist philosophy
quote:
Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya was barely 18 years old when she was executed for her guerilla activities in World War II. She was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, the first woman to be named so in World War II. In October of 1941, she had volunteered for a class of guerrilla fighters known as the Red Army Western Front sabotage and reconnaissance force. Her unit was sent behind enemy lines, near Moscow at the time, to set land mines and to cut off German supply lines. Ordered to burn the village of Petrischevo, Kosmodemyanskaya set fire to a stable and a couple other buildings and was caught by locals.
praisin' commies now

we all know:
fake arms existed
women fought in ww2.
however, a woman with a fake arm would not be on the frontlines, bashing people with a paddle studded with chains and nails.
im sure you will refute this somehow though.

Was reminding people that women were involved in the war, a lot actually fought. No one is praising anybody.

one thing i do think is cool... they will release updates as the war progressed
so the initial launch will be the initial battle theatres, and as updates come, it will reflect how the war progressed over time.
there is a lot to like but the one armed woman is just too meme-able to resist. its funny.
ea got people talking at least. a trailer no one comments on and goes unnoticed, means the game wont sell well...generally speaking.

Fair enough.

quote:people are REALLY upset that there are women in this game. because historically accuracy has always been such a major draw to these games
Not sure what all the crying is about.

quote:thats definitely a stretch. there were a lot of women in the militaries around the world but very few actually fought on the front lines. can really only think of the soviets. however, there were women involved in resistance fighting in occupied countries as well as espionage
a lot actually fought.

Those people are clowns imo
Again this is the same series where you could eject from a jet, snipe another pilot in the face, and then take his jet.
Or hey let me put this blowtorch to a T-90 and repair it from all the rockets and shell damage.
But a woman frontline with a prosthetic in ww2? Oh no that’s just too damn much right there.

Yea, the first two I could see actually happening.
