Have you tried the training simulator? I did one of those, they are actually pretty challenging

Do you start off as Batman or do you train as Bruce with Ra's?

Where is that? I know the combat simulator was in the bat cave but I skipped it. I was ready to assert myself on Gotham

In the bat cave I know it is bigger than in the past but it isn't that big. If you enjoy the combat then there is a lot of time to spend in there. From what i have seen early on I really like the side missions. The riddler trophies and riddles were cool in the past but there were so many that it just became overwhelming. The crime scene investigating is improved on but I wish they incorporated more puzzles in batman. I wish each hacking had a puzzle to it like the original Bioshock did.

I think the training thing is a DLC level. But I'm not 100% sure

There are unlockable training sequences. Some of them for sure are campaign unlocked. I don't know a lot about them though.

I jumped in a multiplayer match today. Cant play much single player until my wife gets home and we put our daughter to bed. She insists on watching the batman games.

It's my wife who wants to watch, not my daughter. Daughter is only 2. She wants ABC Song, Twinkle Star, Five Little Monkeys.

I have now mastered holding her in my lap while she watches her videos on one monitor and I play BF3 TDM (muted) on the main monitor. Hoping that won't screw her up psychologically.

Bought it today. Definitely doesn't stray too far from City, but that's not exactly a bad thing. The combat system still rocks and batman has so many awesome villains.

Is anyone else who has gotten far enough gloriously disappointed in the first twist in the story?

I only played a little bit when I got home. I just got to the ship about to confront Penguin... I hope

But a few early thoughts:

Def has an AC feel to it. Love the combat system. But I do like the detective mode being more important so far than previous games. Didn't get to do any training maps yet, but looking forward to that as well.

I'm exactly where you are. I like the detective mode too. i think this game needs more puzzles though and not just for the enigma packs. This game is good though, just not innovative.
