So they released hotfix #4. Everyone played for hours and hours. They decided hotfix #4 is no good and rolled it back and now everyone's saves from today are incompatible.

First big mistake. Why not leave the bad patch in until a fixed version was ready?

Yep. I decided to start my evil campaign while I wait. I kinda chopped off gales arm instead of pulling him free. Whoops?

cool enough they separated my save files by character name so i can know which files are for what playthrougg

amazing how much a difference one level makes.

two minotaurs in underdark wrecked me at lvl 4. i wrecked them at level 5.

found the myocid colony and now have a sovereign glut follower.

found the Bulette earlier too. that didn't go well. might just try and push him into a chasm next time he jumps me

Good luck with shoving him, he's built like a tank.

He cleaned my clock quite a few times when I approached the fight area from the cliff side. I thought to stick him on one side and just range him to death but that fat, armored bastard can JUMP!

The biggest issue was that by coming from that direction, my team was always too near the edge for his pounce to not knock people into the chasm (even if they stood in the middle).

The only way I beat him was by accidentally coming at him from the opposite direction (didn't realize where I was). That area had more than enough ground that his knockback wasn't insta-killing people by sending them hurtling into a chasm.

Wyll's eldrich blast with the evocation that does knockback is overpowered in the underdark. Took out the spider queen, buellet(sp?), and two or three hook horrors within the first round or two of combat.

Can't say that I have. I used Halsin a lot in act two and never had any problems with him. Though he was in owlbear form most of that time.

Are you jumping a lot? Maybe he doesn't have the strength stat to keep up with your other party members?

I finished up Shadowhearts personal quest in act three. Gotta say, I didn't think I would be as invested in these companions as I am. Easily the best companions I've experienced since Dragon Age Origins.

Today's lesson: don't talk shite to a god who has a Wish spell.

I'm almost at 130 hours played on 2 characters. For anyone debating. You will most definitely get your moneys worth.

Barely into act 3 on my first and almost done with act 2 on my evil. I have turned lae zel from gremlin into mogwai to the point she now says she wants to caress me.

There are so many extra fun things to do as dark urge. I killed isobel and convinced jaheira it wasnt me so she would help me kill all her friends who turned dark.

Early on in the game I learned to save often (especially if I think I am right before a big fight).

This evening I had a problem starting the fight in the Shadowfell. I started from a saved point (after getting my arse handed to me) and found a way to skip an island and then I saved. Well, it seems if you skip an island to get down to the bottom area, the game won't load the next set of characters nor load the cinematic. I had to go back to an earlier save in order to do the island-hopping correctly.

I'm at 113 hours and 17/53 achievements (Steam) and ready to start the third chapter. These stories and the cinematics they use to tell them keep impressing me.
