Why? 76 has been there only real misstep, albeit a big one. They seriously stepped out of their lane with this and cant get out of their way. The Fallout First stuff reeks of a top level exec's desperate attempt to make a profit from this mess.
I'll wait to see how they handle that space game and Elder Scrolls before writing them off.

76 was a abortion, and glad i cancelled my preorder after getting into beta.

I still play it. I get the gripes about the story and how the factions don't matter, but the world was still great, I love the companions, and the changes they made to shooting mechanics and adding crafting were much needed improvements, especially when you go back to 3 and NV.

My biggest beef with fallout 4, besides the broken quests(like skyrim), was that doing the minutemen quests did nothing. And you were asked to do the same quests over and over and doing them did nothing for minutemen or for your character and faction.
