For real. And beaver are damn near extinct. I need to fiddle with the homestead some more... I see what they're trying to do, but I don't know if I like it yet or not.

I agree, it's not as straightforward as rebuilding the mansion in Brotherhood. I've got a lot of cash on hand but that is because I hunted down every treasure chest in Boston, I probably make 300 everytime I do a trade mission which is a real pittance.

I just began playing it last night and made it where I have to free captured prisoners. Fell sleep there. I really like it so far,a little slow but very good. I will play the shite out of it today

What is the best way to get cash in this game?
I found 1 chest and got all excited about going to buy a new sword. Then I discovered that 1500 wont get me shite. The next sword up is like 3000

I always loot bodies and pick pocket people. Its an easy way to get a few bones at a time.

To not let the wolves get on you in the first place. Hit the buttons shown on the screen as they approach for a counter kill

i did find, trying to jump on the tents, will keep them from attacking you. But it doesn't do anything to help much , either.

Wolves, Elk, and bears are all quicktime events. Think Indigo Prophecy, or shitty 90s FMV games.
The story of this series has gotten so convoluted, both in the past and present, that I pretty much wonder what the hell I am doing at all times. Either I'm not fresh enough on the previous installments or this plot has gone Kojima-level unnecessarily complex.

Unless you are missing the B button on your controller it really isn't that difficult. The first prompt is always B followed by one of the other three buttons.

How are you guys have such troubles with the wolves? They are quite easy to counter.
