Maybe this will hasten the end to exclusivity. I have no sympathy for Sony. They did this to themselves.

As reported by The Verge, a chart produced by Microsoft for the FTC confirms The Elder Scrolls VI isn't expected to arrive until 2026 - something we've previously heard. The document also confirms the RPG will be available on Xbox consoles and PC, but not PlayStation.

File this under no shite.
Eventually they will find a way to frick Sony with Activision content as well.
Microsoft pushed a more open ended cooperative approach for a while seemingly because they wanted to push their game pass service. Made sense because they weren’t pushing their hardware very well by comparison to Sony.
Sony was not receptive to that so now console wars are back on the menu, boys.

I'm not sure we can take any information seriously about a game that won't come out for another 3 years.

Sony fan boys will revolt against Xbox for this and buy a PC to game one and not an Xbox. That will stick it to MSFT.

Gamepass is a losing model, you should hope that ES6 even releases.

its been openly expressed by a number of developers they feel in the long run its bad for their games and Phil from Xbox has pretty much said it has hurt many games that come out.
I think the plan was to corner and dominate the market quickly with gamepass but that's failed to happen.

Gamepass is a losing model
With PC gaming where it is, services like PS plus and Gamepass are the only reason consoles are still a thing.

Sony hasn't copied it, neither has steam. I played starfield on launch day for $0.00.
All gamepass games will eventually become seasonal bullshite content like fortnite to keep monthly subscriptions active. This is not what gamers want, and it shows based on console sales.
Gamepass was a retarded idea, xbox is a dying brand.

No shite? This was gonna be multi-console as much as Sony exclusives.
Just buy an xbox or pc. At least that's what Sony fans said about Sony exclusives.

Console gaming will eventually die out entirely. PC gaming is getting better yearly while console gaming is stuck in the same form for 5-7 years at a time.

Microsoft Could “Exit the Gaming Business” Without Enough Growth for Game Pass by 2027, as Per Phil Spencer
Man some of you just simply do not understand business at all. Or maybe you do and you just have to ignore common sense in order to defend Sony. It's probably that one.
Microsoft wanting more growth from the gaming segment does not mean Game Pass isn't profitable or sustainable.

Here's a chart that was part of the FTC leak. It's probably the closest we're going to find to an actual profit margin comparison between PS, XBox, and Nintendo.

(the green bars are the important ones)

I mean hasnt it always been this way? I think alternatives to PC gaming will always exist. It may come in the form of hooking your mobile phone up to your TV or cloud gaming but the initial cost, user friendliness, optimization issues etc...will continue to turn off casuals gamers to pc for some time I' sure.

I don't follow with this line of thinking.
It's one of the most anticipated games in history and Starfield just sold 10 million copies in three weeks. Bethesda is still on the rise
