Man, octane is just not my style. I don't know what it is about him but I can't catch a groove with him. Just getting 5 wins with him was hard enough.
I play nothing but solo que so that didn't help, but I never seem to remember to bail and stim out.
Lifeline and Bang are my go to for wins. Bloodhound if I'm going for high kill games.
P. S. The triple take is god. It is now a must pick up anytime I see it. I always keep 20 rounds on me just in case I come across it.

Oh hell yeah, by far my favorite gun. Not only a great sniper, but at close range it gets damage like n energy shotgun.
Triple take and alternator/ prowler or R-301 has probably been my favorite combo if I can manage to get both.
But on the rare chance I can get a triple take and a spitfire at the same time, that's god tier right there

I usually rock Havoc if I can catch a turbo and G7. I've gotten damn good pacing shots with the G7 and hardly miss.
But TT is an auto pickup. No matter what.

I love the longbow and scout, but the triple take is an awful gun

I was downing people and they we're dropping a second to a second and a half later. It was unreal. Getting shot behind cover.

We played for the first time in a few weeks and I didn’t have any of those issues. Sound was greatly improved, looting was somehow slowed down, and the elite playlist is a kind of cool addition. I hope they stick with that and add rewards/bounties specific to that playlist.

Anybody else gotten a streak forgiveness on their elite streak?
I'm on a 2x streak and didn't finish top 5 the 3rd game but it said I got a streak forgiveness and was keeping my streak alive. Hope I don't blow it.
I was sooooo close to getting a win in my first game in the elite que. We finished second and it came down to a 1v1 fight between my squad mate and the last dude

You just get a chance to stay in the elite games but it resets your streak. Instead of being forced into normal lobby. You get this if you were on a streak.
Normal lobby is less sweaty for sure right now. I had a 16 kill game and I haven’t played in weeks.
Only issue I had with the game last night was looting being slow.

I've seen screenshots on Reddit saying "Loss forgiveness" and the reason given in the message was exactly what you said, bc they started off without a full squad.
Mine was different though bc I had a full squad and instead of saying Loss Forgiveness it said "Streak Forgiveness". I don't remember what the message below said now but the gist of it was that it was my lucky day. I wish I would have taken a screenshot now because I haven't seen that one yet in the Apex subreddit.
Funny thing about the Loss forgiveness for having less than a full squad, that's actually exactly how I started my streak is by not having a full squad. I'm on a 3x streak now, but my first top five to start the streak was because literally both my squad mates quit before we even launched leaving only me. Since I knew top 5 was the goal and it was just me I just stayed camping in buildings until it was down to the last 5 squads

Nah, this was different from what everybody else seems to be getting. It wasn't "Loss Forgiveness" it was "Streak Forgiveness" and specifically said it was keeping my streak alive.
And it did too bc I actually got top 5 again the next game and am currently sitting on a 3x streak

Nope, not mistaken. It doesn't seem to be common though or I would've seen it on Reddit by now. Like I said, I wish I would have thought to take a screenshot.
The game before I got that the idiot jump master dropped us onto the supply ship with 3 other squads so we only lasted about 2 minutes, although we we're still 14th. But I wonder if getting dropped into that cluster frick had anything to do with it.

This is from a respawn dev. While the two types do exist, neither happens the way you describe it. It is the way I was saying. Also streak forgiveness is the common one.
loss forgiveness is for connection issues or teammates leaving before jump etc. It wouldn't happen if you die from jumping in a hot zone. Only way I was doing it all night anyways and never got it.

Well, streak officially ended now at 3. But for one brief shining moment I was kill leader in an Elite game. I'll tell my grandkids about this one day.
