Anybody enjoying Demon Souls.

Just got my PS5 and and have been playing demon souls for a few days. I've been playing as a Royalty this first go around, as I think it was the closest to the pyromancer for DS3.

started with knight class and just going with a strength/vit/endurance build

For anyone that this is their first "Souls" game you must play them all: Dark Souls 1-3, Bloodborne, Sekiro

Still trying to orchestrate a Faustian bargain to get my hands on a ps5, but it’s solely so I can give this a shot. I got my start with dark souls so I never got to experience demons souls.

I am finishing this game called "The Messenger" right now. Once I am done I told myself I'd start Demon Souls.
First introduction to these games was Bloodborne. Then I went Dark Souls (Remastered) and Sekiro.

I'm working through NG+ right now. It's by far the hardest NG+ out of all the Sekiroulsborne games. Everything seems to either 1 or 2 shot me

This is where I am. I never owned a PS3 so Demon's Souls is the only soulsbourne I have yet to play. I am in no particular rush, though. The PS5 will be around for awhile.

Im getting my butt kicked by the fat boss with the bird head. I've watched all the guides on it, but still no luck. I did have him down to one more hit and then my dang dog comes and jumps on me right when I'm about to finish him. Im too frustrated right now, so I'll come back tomorrow and try again.

Enjoying? I do not enjoy Souls games. I simply do them as a challenge while trying very hard not to destroy the controller.

I honestly think it's the best entry to the soulsbourne genre. There are a couple of moderately challenging bosses but most are pretty easy once you understand the gimmick for each boss. World 5 sucks hard but I had a blast mostly.

Leveling up your bow and sniping the bird between the tongue attacks is the best strategy imo. Think you get a trophy for it too.

5-1 and 5-2 on NG+ are complete fricking trash. embarrassingly unbalanced
been playing with Northern Regalia in hyper mode, so much fun. basically put the Morion Blade in your left hand and NR in your right hand while wearing the clever cat ring with less than 30% health.
I 4-shotted the maneaters on NG+ with it and 1-shotted my human opponent in the Old Monk fight. What a blast

Yeah I finally got last him. He's given me more issues than any of the other bosses. I've beaten most of the worlds besides 5. Im on 5-2 now and still have 1-4 to do. Now that I have firestorm, Im wrecking bosses. That thing is way overpowered. I will do another playthrough as a knight when I finish this playthrough.

5-2 made me almost put the game down for good
Glad I pushed through though. Beat it last night. I’ve only beaten bloodborne and sekiro before that. Sucks to hear 5-1 and 5-2 are actually worse on Ng+

I'm playing this and loving it, I tried dusting off my old ps3 and playing it for the first time a few years ago but it didn't age well.
This remake is incredible, and has many quality of life improvements without changing the great feel of the original.
. For instance you could only roll 4 directions in the original and didn't have a tool belt.
Two major updates that make it much better.
And can we discuss how OP the ps5 SSD is?

It amazing. Super fast. I beat it today. I thought it was a great game, maybe a tad on the easy side, but that could just be the magic is way overpowered. Kinda ticked it threw me straight into new game because there was a few things I wanted to go back and do.
