I just got the game yesterday and it feels like a game i could grind out for a while. Also a tiger droppings tribe would probably wreck peoples shite.

I'm currently in Ark recovery. There's a group of us that get together every Tuesday at the local Methodist church. We tell stories of grinding it out only to be griefed or screwed by a glitch.

I worked with a guy that was #1 in the world, he lived it.

I play but only single player.

That's all I do anymore, too. It allows me tweak the setting where the grind isn't as arduous and I don't have to worry about losing all my shite to a 12 year old who plays for 20 hours a day.
If you can find a few friends to play, y'all all chip in on a private Nitrado server.

Same here. Just creative mode though. I just like building castles and shite

Was hardcore on Ark with a group of friends until fallout 76 improved, now 76 is bae.
Ark Genesis was a major letdown for me.

It looks intriguing to me - I was put off, initially, by the multiplayer focus, but you folks on here playing single player only have me rethinking that.
I've been fairly heavy into survival games over the past 4 or 5 years, but the "thinking man" types, Sheltered, Banished, Planetbase, This War of Mine, etc.
Leaning towards either Subnautica or Surviving Mars (which looks to be a somewhat more modern take on Planetbase), but Ark comes up on my Steam home page a lot (as you might imagine).

Have you seen the newest updates to No Man's Sky? It's a legit game these days and will scratch the survival/explore/building itch.
If you have Game Pass on PC, Ark is on there.

I like it. On a pvp 3 man rag server rn. Trying to build up enough not to get raided every hour
