Yea buddy! My island's in complete tear-down mode as I'm trying to figure out how I want the shopping area to look. I'm about to head out, but anyone's welcome at any time. I'll post when I get back on.

Same here. I've had my hybrid reds set up for over a week now and nothing.
Also, 109 for turnips here, so if Fiddle or anyone else is cheaper and can open back up I'd be most grateful.

So yea, for everyone trying to do flower breeding/cloning, it sounds like we could probably set up an island hopping tour to help each other out out.
watering a player's own flowers only gives a 5% chance of breeding new flowers. However, if five visitors water the flowers on the player's island, the chance of getting a new hybrid flower increases to 80%.

Ya same here. My flower gardens are spread all over my island but I could always move them more central to make it easier to water.

So it turns out the 5x5 grids are a waste of time. They'll spawn random flowers you don't need that won't have the right characteristics to get the colors you want. I tried the 5x5 grids, and ended up having to start from scratch.

Thanks again for all the tips this week and especially whoever left me the golden (and purple) watering can. I have multiple gold roses sprouting up today in my black rose section.
Anyone know if golden flowers can generate more gold flowers on their own? Or can more only happen with black+black?

Looks awesome. I just spent way too long on big bass island. But I finally got that damn Giant Trevally. I think I broke at least 8 poles. I feel like I released about 40 snapper too.

My wife and I spent the rainy afternoon plotting out large parts of the island for flower breeding. There is so much random stuff to do in this game, never thought I would be so excited for cross breeding colored flowers.
