Did a search and couldn’t find anything.

Ok, I’ve watched a lot of videos recently on , raspberrypi, modding those all in one mink consoles, and like Pandora’s box. What’s the best all in one to buy? I don’t want to buy parts and mod things on my own.

What y’all got? What have y’all bought?

If you want an "all in one" console for emulation I suggest just buying a used NUC or STX/SFF desktop with at less i5 or 8th gen i3.

Even the new Pi struggles at times with some emulation above N64. They didn't give the video controller much of a bump in that revision.

I’m wanting to play on the tv, and I really don’t see myself needing anything higher than a 64.

I’ve got a Raspberry Pi and I love it, but I’m not really interested in emulating anything past SNES/90’s arcade games or maaaaaybe N64. It works great for what I want it for.

How do you have it set up?

I got the Raspberry Pi itself, a simple case for it, and a MicroSD card with EmulationStation plus games on it. I set it up myself. However, you can get a complete setup from Amazon or eBay that will come with all the items you need plus the software already installed for about the same price as doing it yourself, so that’s probably the way to go.

Just get Retropie and put it on a raspberry pi and get some 8bitdo controllers.

Raspberry Pi struggles with N64 games. A lot of big ones don't work well without overclocking significantly, I haven't tried the 4 yet. Retropie isn't officially released for it yet and it still has some issues if you manually install everything. So I would avoid N64 unless you really feel like getting into the raspberry pi to overclock and cool it.

Seems to depend on what you want to play.

In general, a Raspberry Pi can do most, if not all, of what you want for probably $100 in parts (system, memory card, joystick, etc)
