i worked only with an OTD price, because i had a trade in
i was about to make a deal even though i didnt like the trade value
i went to another dealer to check their trade appraisal and we started talking trucks too, and they beat the other guy
so i gave that other guy the chance to beat it and they both went back and forth a couple times before one gave up
they both found wiggle room in the price as well as the trade, and using OTD price, you make sure you can't get fricked on fees
its the best way IMO
