Has alot to do with the way they do the Direct. Focusing on stuff coming now instead of stuff really far out.

Really surprised we didnt even see a teaser on it or Bayonetta 3. The Zelda teaser at the end was highly unexpected.

Really surprised they delayed it. I guess it makes sense considering we havent heard anything about it other than the teaser from last year. We saw what looked to be some gameplay.

Disappointed we didn't see a new Mario Kart
Not a fan of Animal Crossing. I've bought it each time it has come out, and each time I regret it because its the same exact game as the one before. I don't really get the appeal of it at all. It's shallow and boring.

This pretty much confirms that 2020 will have animal crossing early, Metroid and Bayonetta mid-year, and Mario Kart at the end.
Metroid could be swapped with BoTW2 and put that at the end of the year as well, but I'm thinking BoTW2 gets a spring 2021 release
