Havent been since I worked in that area about a year ago, but prior to that, went fairly regularly for about five years. It is slammed at lunch. Either be there before 11:30 or go after 1. The crowding is partially due to logistics as mentioned previously, and also because it is a varied menu and pretty good.

The hamburger is solid. I often got the grilled shrimp poboy and was always pleased. Never had their Greek good. Had several of their lunch specials -- fried fish, lasagna, and smothered chops -- all were good. The grilled half and half (half shrimp/half grilled veg) was unfulfilling, but sufficed when I was in serious diet mode.

It's worth a stop if it is anything like it was a year ago.

good but not great food, good service, at a fair price.

How's the seafood po'boy there? Last time I went, I got the grilled shrimp philly which was pretty good.

And this place is packed during lunch if that means anything.

Must just be the style of food people like for lunch.. or something.

Ever notice the places with that type of food are the ones that are like chickens with their head cut off because they're so slammed at lunch?

Lunches used to kick my arse at Dempseys, but then places that I usually waited for at dinner weren't. Weird stuff.

Burgers are always spot on

I'm not a fan. Watched the boys press the shite out of them wayyyy too often. I would sometimes eat the children's burger after a shift, but I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to pay and order it.

I'm sure the fries are Sysco

They're not. But I agree they're bad.

My only really dull spot about this place is that it closes at 8pm so you got order out early.

It's probably 9. The other locations are/were 9.

Chicken philly is good

This does not exist at Dempseys..?

I agree the poboys are good too. I like their fried seafood more than anywhere else, and that's not just because of my years working there

LL, I might be mistaken, but I think he's talking about Goodwood Grill. He was responding to the OP when he said

Since Dempseys made a run for AP it's been our go to for poboys.

and his location is BR, so I think he meant since Dempsey's is no longer around, they go to Goodwood Grill. GG closes at 8 and they do have a Chicken Philly.
