Tried Zing Zang, and I wasn't a fan. Still nothing like the Gator Blood mix. That, plus vodka with a bit of fresh ground black pepper and an olive/asparagus/okra is all you need.

I tried Zing Zang today and wasn't that impressed. I liked Gator Blood and Hoosier Mama last week and they were different, but very good. I've been on a bloody kick lately. I need to try making my own infused vodkas.

So do most folks think Gator Blood is better than Zing Zing? I've never seen Gator Blood before but I may order a bottle.

That sounds great. And you have 15 oz. of Guinness to drink with your bloody mary.

I love to have them garnished with pickled okra.

I've seen a lot of talk about Zing Zang, so I had to try it. To me, it's too thin and slightly bitter. Gator Blood is a much thicker mix, that's also much spicier. I tend to like a Bloody Mary that's on the thicker side with more body, which is what the Gator Blood is. Doesn't hurt that it's a local to south Louisiana company (Poche's).

But it is tougher to find. I've only seen it in local grocery stores like Matherne's, Calandro's and the produce stand.

Thanks. I'm a big Poche's fan so I'm definitely going to order a bottle now

I prefer the Caesar or Bloody Caesar
Vodka
Clamato juice
Worcestershire
Salt and pepper
Hot sauce
Fresh celery stick
And a couple green olives

The above is a good to add to Zing Zang.

1 bottle zing zang
a fifth of vodka - I like absolut, but to each his own
1 bottle clamato
10 shakes of L&P
10 shakes celery salt
tablespoon fresh cracked pepper
1 lemon diced and squeezed into your mix
1 lime diced and squeezed into your mix

Combine a stick in Refrigerator overnight to let it marinate. Serve with traditional celery sticks, okra, olives, etc.
