I've never tried spam and vienna sausages but I imagine both taste disgusting . Canned meat= :yack: :yack:.

Growing up I had the luxury of having my parents buy cold cuts and would have turkey and ham sandwiches, and I'd eat PB J on occasion.

BTW I put sausage in red beans. Never ever heard of Spam going in there.

Damn Zach, seems like you, women, and food have always had issues to deal with for a long time.

Troof. Mom was a bitch. Dad was God. If dad didn't cook on weekends I would have starved to death.
I watched what he did on Saturdays and learned to love cooking.
One thing I noticed even at the age of 9. He never measured ingredients. He know how much stuff to put in by eye sight. I've always been the same with cooking. I never measure anything. I know how much it's supposed to be.

A can of puppy peters in a duck blind is money. Especially when the slime gets all congelled and you have to sling it off.

As I told Pman a few weeks ago politics is my passion, this has been true since '68. The family biz is medicine, and yeah I do know it. But food is for some reason inexplicable my love. There are recipes in my head that I have cooked one time, thirty or forty years ago that I can pull out and make today, just with a bit more technique and flavor.

Toasted Spam and cheese sandwich!

Pan fried Spam and scrambled eggs! Yum.

Hubby used to have pan-fried strips of Spam on hot dog bun with pork and beans. Does not sound good to me, but he swears by it.

My wife makes a delicious spam fried rice. I would highly recommend trying it sometime.

I think it may end up a little like a cracklin if deep fried. Not saying that's a bad thing!
