Someone gifted me a new green egg. However the supply company is calling me trying to deliver another unit. They must have done some paperwork incorrectly and not recorded the delivery. Should I be honest or take an extra green egg for the lakehouse? Company looks to be a large supplier in the area, not a mom and pop store.

Is the question of whether you do the right thing or steal a grill dependent on the size of the company you are stealing from? Does that info somehow work its way onto your sliding scale of morality?

Yes me letting a large box store make a mistake vs my neighbor down the street is a different scenario to me.

Be a good person and let them know there mistake.
I was a bank teller once and I accidentally gave a runner for a business hundreds of dollars in cash in his money bag that I was supposed to deposit instead. He could have just taken the money, but he brought it back when he realized my mistake, and saved my job. I was young but that taught me a big lesson about attention to detail but also to appreciate the kindness and honesty of others.

I would have let them deliver. Then called and played dumb saying you didn’t realize what was delivering and that they already sent you one. Let them decide if they want to pick back up or tell you to keep it.
