Recently on a road trip, I swung by Teet’s after hearing so many people on this board brag about it. I’m not sure if it’s because none of us grew up on it, but none of my kids or wife liked it. They said it was way too much smoke flavor. I didn’t find it unenjoyable the way they did, but I still prefer the local sausages I grew up on in the river parishes.

Teets is bad, really bad. Toxic in fact. If you'll let me know where, I can take it off your hands so it won't trouble your family anymore.

Bourques in Port Barre: buy one of everything except their cheapest pork sausage. Their cajun seasoning is awesome. The boudin dip is basically pâté.

Riverside in plaquemine: get their sausage. Avoid the smoked jalepeno. Buy a link of boudin and cracklins while there. If you like a sweet heat, get their jalepeno cane syrup sausage.

Hebert’s- Broussard or Maurice - best stuffed chickens
Kartchners - Scott - maple roll ups, boudin balls

This will be ambitious, but this is my plan so far (time/hours is key in my selections - live in NC):

East - West
Laplace - Bailey's/Jacob's World-Famous Andouille
Laf - Bourque/Katchers
Iowa - Rabideaux's

West - East
Scott - Best/Billys
Breaux Bridge - Poches

Anything Im doing wrong?
