working at cane's was my worst fast food experience ever

Yeah, I could see how that would be way below the burger king, taco bell, and McDonalds working experience.

Seriously, I have half a dozen or so of the usual crap assed fast food places near where I work and Raising Canes by far as the best employees.

i do agree that cane's has the best service of any fast food (though they don't consider themselves fast food, but they pretty much are), it was just my experience and the people at the store i worked at that left me with a bad taste. quit there about 2 1/2 yrs ago and have not eaten a bite a canes since

That's cool, but I bet you couldn't last a week at the McDonalds, Taco Bell, or Burger King near me. I refuse to go there. Haven't been in two years.

I was traveling at night from Greenville, SC and went through the drive thru at a Hardees before getting on the interstate. I tried a chicken fried steak combo and decided to eat the fries first while they were hot. Then I started eating the sandwich and it was cold already. And it had no flavor at all. About half way through it I turned on the dome light and saw they forgot to put the meat on it!. All I had was bun, mayo and veggies. I saw a Hardees at one of the Spartanburg exits and told them what happened and they gave me a whole new meal (that part was good).

i never said i could. all i'm saying is that working with idiot/douche typical fast food people just wasn't my thing. for a high school job it wasn't horrible, just the stupidity of people sucked (and one huge, ugly bitch). that is why i never eat fast food. no matter where i go my order always gets f'd up.

to the person that said the country is going to fail because of the people in fast food....how many educated people do you know that wants to make $7/hr fixing fast food and listening to people bitch? Seriously, I think the service is HORRID at 99% of fast food places, but where on earth is the motivation to actually serve people properly? Some don't care if they have a job or not. It just isn't a big deal to them.

While I agree that they get paid squat, explain to me why I can go to the exact same chain in Walker and get great service, while I am at the same store on Burbank, I want to kill myself (or someone else)?

Like I said before, I think a lot of these places hire locally-staff that can walk, ride their bike or a short drive, because of the low pay and weird hours, so evaluate the surrounding neighborhood, and you might get an idea of what you are in store for...

The simple fact that there are so many uneducated/lazy people in general is what I was referring too.
Doesn't matter where they work or what they are doing, there should be a line as to having a little respect for yourself and the company you work for.

OK, football, at the risk of having this moved to the Poly Board, is that a generational thing, or a symptom of our low unemployment that has people in the service industry that would have historically been sitting on their front porch all day, or what?

I agree with you completely, BTW, but it seems like in so many cases, pride in a job well done has gone by the wayside. As Exhibit B, I offer my trip to the Mall of Louisiana last night...

I don't know, but it is frustrating at the amount of people that I run into on a daily basis that just don't give a $hit.

I did just get reminded of the good that people in low end jobs can shoot for. One of the check out ladies at my grocery store always leaves me with a good feeling. Her name is Mary and she looks to be around 45 or so. Probably somewhat new to the country as her English is a little rough. She is always smiling and will always try to tell you something nice in the little English she tries to speak. She must work as many hours as they will allow her because she is always there. Always does a good job.
I am not expecting rocket scientist who do a song and dance for me at fast food places, just don't be lazy and rude.

Where to start!

KFC- They were out of chicken more than one time!

Pizza Hut-
1. Went there to eat couldnt bc they had no servers.
2. Went there was able to eat ther but my dad had to get the food and bring it to our table bc our server was not paying attetion. The check out girl then yelled at my mom saying "CAN YOU NOT READ!" bc she wanted to use two coupons and neither said anything about not using with others.
3. a few weeks ago a co worker and my self wanted Pizza Hut so we did the online ordering well I get an email please call us about ur order. I did and the girl said we have no one the deliver the pizza and hung up.

Scooters- Walked in the girl said what you want all rude sounding. When we asked if they had pork they said is it on the menu( it was a new place and we no idea what they had so we asked.)

I've had several. I rolled into a Burger King in downtown Long Beach saw a breakdancing crackhead who was waving a knife while he busted a move. He was surrounded by like 10 cops. I drove past and ordered anyway.

I was also at an El Pollo Loco in L.A., just sitting in the drive through when this Mexican in front of me leaps out of his car and starting puking all over the fricking place. I mean projectile vomiting ALL OVER the walls, his car, the ground, every fricking thing. While out of his car, he was clutching his belly and he staggered over to this grassy patch of the parking lot and just kinda collapsed. I backed up and left that one.

I was home visiting the folks last year and decided to try Raising Canes because they were appearing everywhere and everybody said the sauce was great. Worst chicken and fries I ever had in my life. Couldn't even eat it. Give me KFC anyday over that. Went to the one on Highland by campus. Never again.

I'm not the biggest fan of Canes, but fricking KFC? Really?

The BK and Jack in the Box on Highland are laughably bad. Fricken Chicken on Burbank had good service, but they shut down unfortunately.
