It would be nice to have a wine thread similar to the whiskey one where people can share stuff they're having or new stuff they found. Admins, if this isn't okay, just delete away.
As for me, the Orin Swift thread reminded me I still had some 8 Years in the Desert left so I opened it. Zin blend that is Dave Phinney's return to zin blends after selling off the prisoner name. The name is a direct shot at the non compete he was made to sign since he sold only the name, not the juice.
Still young as a 2017 vintage, but is getting better with some time.

The wife grabbed this bottle from Eataly. We actually visited this vineyard in Alba on our trip last fall. It’s really solid for the price point.

Repris 2016 Jennifer Block Cabernet Sauvignon.
Tasting notes from Winery:
Patience is the watchword for this massive wine. Vibrantly fruit forward in its youth, our Jennifer Block Cabernet Sauvignon is a Member favorite for its decadent allure. Yet in 2016, this celebrated vineyard block produced a bottling that begs for extended aging. This wine beautifully captures the character of an exceptional vintage at Moon Mountain Vineyard – concentrated and powerful while maintaining its poise and elegance.
I guess I opened it too early.

Rumor is they're coming to Dallas in the next year or so. I'm excited.

If true, your life is about to change for the better.

The rumored location is walking distance to my townhouse.

Go ahead and ask the boss for a raise before it opens. You’re gonna need it if you can walk to eataly.

Most likely.
Italian wine is my favorite. I always spend too much at Jimmy's here as is. I can expense wine though luckily.
I always recommend this bottle but I can't ever do it enough. $10 and 90+ points.

Accidentally posted in the wrong thread.
Picked up this one yesterday. Usually get the Las Alturas at dinner, but I’m always told the Dairyman is better (it’s not on their menu).

I’ve found Ravenswood to be one of the best sub $10 wines out there.

Nice! We're going out to J in August. Going to do the bubble room. I can't wait for that.

frick yes!! The bubble room is amazing. Get there early, go sit by the waterfall structure underneath the eucalyptus tree and have some XB. It’s our (my wife and I) happiest place on earth.

It's such a beautiful place. I can't wait to go. Glad to finally see the Sonoma side of things.

Its amazing. If you’ve never been to Healdsburg/Windsor email me. That’s our spot. I can pass on some tips that the locals gave us.
