Bought a couple dozen pepperjack boudin balls and Billy's and noticed they looked a little smaller than the last time I bought them so I compared them to the last dozen stashed in the freezer.
Dozen of the old: 3.16 pounds
Dozen of the new: 2.50 pounds
=20% decrease for the same price.

It's either got to do with some crazy idea about profit margin or the ball maker had a bad day.

It's a hand made item so they're not going to be the same every time. Could have been two different people making them. I think it a bit much to jump the gun over .66 pounds.

If you bought them by the pound, then it's no big deal, you just have smaller balls-lol. If you bought them by the dozen, it's a little suspect.

Obvious answer is shrinkage. You put them in the freezer, there was obviously shrinkage.
