Clearly I was disagreeing with your opinion. Did it really need reiteration? Should I have also put "IMO" behind my post?

Just in case, in my opinion, putting "IMO" after a thought that is clearly someone's subjective opinion is unnecessarily redundant IMO. Just my opinion of course.

Why can't PJ's coffee sustain in Baton Rouge? by PlateLunchAssassinI don't get it... PJ's Coffee is a superior coffee to CC's, IMO. Why can't PJ's coffee sustain in Baton Rouge? Down to one location remaining, and that's all the way downtown.

I think it has been pretty well answered in this thread. The quality is inconsistent, service sucks from mine and other experience. At that level of coffee, people are not as concerned with taste as much as convenience. If it takes me 5 minutes to get my black medium roast I might as well have gone to magpie.

I find this to be true at most PJ locations. I avoid going there unless it's the only place around or someone else wants to go.

I used to get PJ coffee every morning from inside Robert's grocery. Medium roast. It blows away anything offered at Starbucks and I don't have to wait ten minutes in line and smell what smells like a bakery but is really just a bunch of syrups. Of course the Robert's management is always around so that might help the service issue. The workers there are great, never noticed bad service before.

Service is key to any business. I refuse to support businesses that do not offer good service.

Anybody in NOLA area like Chateau Cafe? I tried their medium roast a couple times and I may be a convert.

"Tanzanian Peaberry" sounds flavored but is definitely not. I like it.

?? How do a country of origin and a kind of bean sound "flavored"? Peaberries are round coffee beans, as opposed to the more common flats.

Thanks for the knowledge. Sounds like a snowball flavor to me.

ETA: did not know they had round coffee beans #notaconnosieur
