I think they'll pick the Indian....

seems like Food Network wants to "spice" things up!

There is a ton of cooking on Food Network.

I just looked at their Primetime Lineup for the entire week.

If you are considering: Cupcake Wars, Food Network Star, Food Network Challenge, Ace of Cakes, Unwrapped, or Throwdown with Bobby a 'cooking show'. We have a different definition.

They do not have a cooking show on until 10pm with Alton, as far as technique and process are concerned.

Food TV's old-school spinoff. Ch 231 on Cox / BR.

Not in HD, a-k-a FoodPornoVision, but enough already with the stupid contests on the main channel.

Thank you so much. I guess that will clear my viewing schedule for next weekend.

BTW, Rosebud is his sled, Old Yeller dies, and Kristen shot JR.

The entire daytime is filled with actual cooking shows. They show what appeals to mass audiences during primetime hours.

Anyone watching Challenge right now? This whacko woman is a chef and cookbook author and she made a sandwich with fish and a ton of shredded cheddar cheese melted with the fish.

She was shocked when the judges said to keep cheese and seafood away from one another in most circumstances. How can she not know this with all her experience?

That is a horrendous mistake. This board knows how I feel about that combination. It is truly disgusting.

It was awful. She was doing a fish sandwich with lemon butter sauce, which is something light (in regards to the lemon) and can bring out fish flavor perfectly. She diced up the fish and mixed in literal handfuls of shredded cheddar and melted it together.

I can handle the occasional crab au gratin and lobster ravioli with a LITTTTLE parmesean sprinkled on top, but this woman made a disgusting sandwich.

The judge told her to avoid mixing cheese with seafood because it makes it not taste as fresh, and she said "I thought it was supposed to be imaginative and out of the ordinary"

Gratin does not mean cheese. Fromage would be cheese. A light bechamel with crabmeat lightly tossed and topped with bread crumbs is au gratin.
I would like that, adding cheese to crabmeat is a sin that really is unforgivable IMO. LL, you will learn, there are some really good posters on this Board.
