Y'all are missing my point. I'll not argue with Treehouse, Trillium, and Monkish as top-3's. But convince me this list isn't driven by exposure and popularity as much as quality.

Results are not suprising, for the most part

I’d say 2,1,3 right now are the correct rankings off the poll as of now. While TH has expanded and increased limits and brewing capacity I don’t find their beer as desirable and it has changed slightly but will become more consistent as they grow into the new brewery. Trillium is as repeatable and as consistent as it gets and expanding daily, they have it down to the number and I don’t remember a bad beer from there.

MD this poll is what it is based on who goes to the website to vote. But that said, the beer geeks will rule the vote.

Well of course that’s part of it. It’s basically impossible to take name recognition bias out of a poll like this. Short of a blind taste test, it can’t be done.

But exposure and popularity tends to occur when the brewery puts out a quality product, so... a bit of a chicken and egg thing here.

I would agree. Treehouse tends to be ranked higher than Trillium in every beer poll, but I think Trillium puts out a wider variety and are consistently top notch. Nothing against treehouse, obviously, but I’ve always considered Trillium to be the better of the two.

Although I’m just grateful to have both in easy access.

Swung by fort point today and got a growler of Storrowed for the super bowl tomorrow. Looking forward to trying it.

Same poll format that confirms McDonald's makes a top-3 cheeseburger.

I hear your point and I think it’s valid. But if that analogy were correct, Budweiser would Top the charts of every beer poll.

And I hear your point.

And yes, I have have a better idea.

Blind taste tests hold infinitely more weight, and beer ratings hold far more weight than a poll like this.

Yes blind taste tests are best. And that’s what’s used for more official awards.

But the internet is a vast place filled with bored people who need to vote for shite to fill voids in their lives. Hence these polls.

I’ve only had a small number of the breweries listed but my immediate reaction was Trillium when I saw the question.

How is it fake news if people are voting? I voted and afterwards could not vote again.
