Whiskey stones?

Do you guys use any? I've got some 2" ice cube trays now, and they work better than the regular ice, but was curious to get some opinions on stones. Looking for some recs and comparisons on stones that are granite type vs stainless ones. Also recommended sizes.
Thanks in advance

Someone posted a chart with like 15 different stones and their effectiveness of actually chilling the liquor some time ago. The stainless cubes were by far the best performing. I have a pack of 6 of them. I use them mostly with scotch but sometimes I'll add them to a pour of bourbon. They are great for chilling and not watering down the flavor of your drink. I find that most of my bourbons I like to use a small amount of ice and I have a silicon ice tray that makes some small 1" cubes that I use but if you are looking to just chill your drink then I would go with the stainless cubes.

I prefer using ice... As the ice melts, the whiskey changes

I’ve never been a fan. Got some as a gift and I can count on one hand the amount of times I’ve used them.
I drink mine neatish. Most whiskey, especially high proof stuff, will benefit from a little water to tame the burn of the alcohol, so I’ll drop a couple small ice cubes in. Once they melt, the whiskey has the water it needs plus gets slightly chilled.

I appreciate the input fellas. I enjoy the ice melting and giving a bit water to the bourbon/scotch but I've never had the stones to compare the difference. I'm not man quite man enough to fix it neat, I prefer straight on the rocks currently
I'll definitely check that chart out. Thanks.

A few years ago around Christmas I bought a couple of the Knob Creek gift sets and each bottle came with three stainless steel whiskey stones with the Knob Creek logo etched on them in a little drawstring pouch.
They have been sitting in a drawer in the kitchen since I got them (I have never used them) but now I guess I will have to get them out and try them.

I have some stainless ones I use when it's hot and sitting outside. I too like a rock or two in my bourbon but it melts quick and I drink slow.
