He said he was going to TW and that is what I saw that I found interesting, The Doc finished barrels are terrific. I will say, went to Specs downtown (thanks to Rouge driving) and there was a ton of non KY, Indiana and Tennessee that I had never heard or seen in Nola.

Closest we have to a Specs is total wine . Rest are small bottles shops or grocery stores.

I miss Binneys

NPD after a $15 double Booker’s and a cowboy ribeye…took a minute to find a fire pit

Weller Full Proof Bama ABC pick…better than any WFP I’ve had, finish is so much longer

Outta that too

I initially asked for the Weller SB (No8 & I agree that’s the best of the bunch) but that was gone…however, this FP pick is very good

I’ve had that WFP there, this pick takes it to the woodshed…first one I had with a finish that didn’t fall off the table

We have Bardstown in Georgia. I’ve only had the Fusion but I really like it. Not sure when I’m headed to see my family in Louisiana next, but I can check here before I go. Which one are you looking for?

Hey man, I appreciate that. I have a bottle. Was responding to someone headed to Htown and some options at TW while there.

Midget you probably didn’t see my post to you a few days ago but I saw this bottle at Rouses the other day for $770. Is this a special bottle I should have bought? Only had one box. I like scotch but don’t have a lot of knowledge on it.

I’m still learning about scotch myself honestly. I’ve learned a lot from Bus and Jelly on here, and I watch Ralfy on YouTube a lot (dude is a wealth of knowledge on scotch).

Personally I wouldn’t drop that coin on Glenmorangie, but that’s mainly because I have found that you can get equally great scotch at much lower cost with some of the lesser known distilleries. I find the McCallans and other big names jack their costs up on their older and special releases compared to the smaller guys.

My Arran 21, for instance, cost me 120 euros when I was in Italy. It’s spectacular. I also got a Craigallachie 24 for Christmas from the wife, and that’s around $220 I believe.

ETA: and yeah I did miss your post. I’ve been crazy busy lately and unable to keep up on here.

Learning Bourbon. I really like Woodford Reserve. Which one of these should I go with first? And what does 1PD mean?

Both of them. Best way to figure out your palette is to try as much as you can. I personally would prefer the OF over the EC, but I like OF's profile. Personal preference
