Grab their sherry finish as well. It’s spectacular. I have liked the three that I got very much: sherry finish, VDN finish, and Rye. This is a standout in the craft bourbon game IMO, and I’ll be ecstatic once they make their way to Louisiana. I’ve bought my bottles on Seelbachs and from Lincoln Road.

I grabbed two bottles of Old Forester Rye the other day. Made one of the best OFs I've had. That flavor profile is perfect for it. I do treat myself with a more expensive rye as my base sometimes, but generally I prefer to keep my base ryes below $30.
Also do not sleep on a wheater for an OF. It's great and a nice changeup.

Edit or do you mean the JT? That one is pretty good too. I am curious to see where they take it. They are trying to make it a regular release kinda thing and are holding some back to see how it ages.

yeah the JT .. I don't think I have ever had a rice based whiskey before.
