I grabbed the bourbon yesterday and did a comparison between it and the previous BF Rye last night. When drinking either one on a normal occasion, I love them both. Drinking the rye then following with the bourbon, the rye was so far beyond it that I found the bourbon very meh. My second glass I enjoyed a lot though once my palate was long enough past the rye.
My point is that is just how delicious the previous rye pick was, and I am sure this new one is just as great.

This is a local liquor store they are advertising "try before you buy". My problem with this is they don't actually have most of these on the tasting bar available to buy

FPD, just got this one in today, it’s a 5 year MGP 60/36/4 mashbill, 122.24 proof, I don’t recall seeing many of the 5 year with that mashbill over 120 proof, solid pour
